The Fernie Chamber AGM will review what the organization accomplished in 2025, including key operational highlights and a financial update from the Executive Director.

Members can expect a straightforward overview of the year’s activities, along with insight into priorities moving forward. The AGM also provides an opportunity to connect with fellow Chamber members, with time set aside for networking over a light breakfast sponsored by Freshies.

This annual meeting is both a reporting session and a chance to strengthen local business connections within the Fernie community.

About the Guest Speakers:

Jeremy Johnston, Director of Planning and Development Services for the City of Fernie, will present an update on strategic projects of interest to Chamber members, including the Official Community Plan update process. He will also provide updates on the ongoing work to enhance Fernie’s development approval processes, including the anticipated spring launch of digital planning approvals.

Katey Taylor, Executive Director of the Elk Valley Family Society, will present an overview of the organization’s current portfolio and the essential services and housing it provides to the community. She will also share updates on upcoming projects, including the redevelopment of the Old Firehall and the Childcare Housing Project, and how these initiatives will support and strengthen the Elk Valley.
