Snowboarders, the Dirty Dancer Banked Slalom is for you! Fernie is stoked to welcome back the Dirty Dancer Banked Slalom.
Get back to your snowboarding roots with the Dirty Dancer Banked Slalom, a throwback to the ’80s when snowboarders were the outlaws of the wild west, banned from most ski resorts and forced to fight for the right to shred! Well, times have changed, and we want you to celebrate by entering this awesome event for all ages.
While times count, this event is really all about hanging out with fellow snowboarders and celebrating the community. It’s a chance to connect with fellow riders and enjoy the vibe of snowboarding culture. Whether you’re racing for the podium or just there for the good times, it’s about the experience and the people.
Event Details
Participants will get inspection and practice time each day, and get one timed run on Saturday and a second on Sunday. The best time over the two days counts towards the podium! If you don’t podium, we will have draw prizes from our sponsors, so there will be plenty of chances to win something.
And don’t forget, the beverage gardens will be open both days, with tunes keeping the vibe high all weekend long. Come for the runs, stay for the good times, and let’s make this a celebration you won’t forget!

Helmets are mandatory for all competitors
The event is for intermediate to advanced snowboarders
Once participants are registered, they can receive a voucher for 50% off tickets, valid for March 21 & 22, for competitors use only.
