Avalanche Awareness Days in Fernie return as the community comes together with Avalanche Canada for two days of winter safety, education, and hands-on learning at Fernie Alpine Resort.
Participants can take part in practical, interactive activities designed for skiers, riders, and winter travelers of all levels, including:
• Transceiver hunt to sharpen real-world rescue skills
• Avalanche-rescue dog demonstration
• Snow-pit demo led by the resort’s patrol team
• Fundraising auction during Saturday après at the Griz Bar
All auction proceeds support Avalanche Canada, helping fund avalanche education and public safety programs across the country.
