try posting on this site what you are looking for. You will probably get a few responses. Also, keep an eye out on the forum what people are renting, and start emailing/calling. Good luck!
freshsnowParticipantas far as I know, Yamagoya are not closed! Sawai Thai did close though, maybe that’s what the rumour was about? what’s open…Curry Bowl, the Pub, Brickhouse, Golf Clubhouse…
freshsnowParticipantwe do still have some, just give us a call at 430 0043!
freshsnowParticipantwhat size is this bike?
freshsnowParticipanthi, I have a 151cm Burton Troop board for sale for $100 OBO. I learnt to snowboard on it, it’s a great board…nice and forgiving, and not to stiff. Perfect for learning how to turn!
I don’t have a picture of it, but you’re welcome to come and look at it. It was ridden a lot so it’s not pristine condition by any means.
Give me a call at 430 0043 if interested.freshsnowParticipantthanks for the replies guys, will check those out, cheers.
freshsnowParticipanthey Anne, we normally meet at the Evolution gym which is on the cnr or 12th St and 8th Ave. Just let your husband know to call 423 3344 to find out the times that we’re meeting at!
freshsnowParticipantwe had a kennel built for us by a guy local here in town. It was around a $100 or so if I remember correctly (it was a pretty big dog house). If you’re interested in getting one built for you, let me know and I’ll give you the number!!
freshsnowParticipantleave it alone manly-seaeagle, you are giving aussies a bad rep! Canada has its good points and bad, just like Australia. I am an Australian, living here now year-round in Fernie. I love it here, and I also love my home country. Enjoy the rest of the winter.
freshsnowParticipanteven when i’m empty sometimes i find it’s not safe to stop. live in town, it’s not worth the hassle. not convenient to party in town or get to the hill with out wheels.
cheers
freshsnowParticipanthey brendan. A month? just watch that turn into longer easy to do. The quickest way is to fly into Cranbrook (an Air Canada flight from Vancouver). From Cranbrook it is an hour to Fernie. Then you could take the Greyhound here, better than the 8hr trip from Calgary. Also, lots of people from Fernie go to and from Cranbrook all the time, so hitching could be an option, or posting on this forum to see if anyone will be there the same time as you.
Calgary is the next option, 3hrs from Fernie. Lots of shuttles buses going to and from Fernie…about $60 or so to do that.
Once you’re here, cheap accommodation is at the Raging Elk hostel. And it’s not too cold inside, you’ll be fine!!! from what I hear, I believe they provide bedding anyway.
enjoy!freshsnowParticipantthanks for all the interest, the suite has been rented. Have a great winter!
