Snow Kiting Fernie

In addition to my previous post I’m a kitesurfer as well.
Does anyone have any info on whether or not it’s worth bringing over a kite, is there anyone doing this in fernie or do you get regular winds.
Again any info would be appreciated.

Hey,
Yeah just south of the border in Montana they host a kite festival every February. I kiteboard in the summer in Alberta about 1hr east of Fernie and about 2hrs North East. The winds in Crowsnest are great for kiting but can be dangerous and not much snow due to big winds and Chinooks. Bring the kite, you’ll find a place to ride
