ModeratorYes folks, this was the Freestyle weekend and it rained now as it did then!
The rain reminds me of the great athletics we watched and how hospitable the town was.
The athletes left with good memories of Fernie and went on to two olympic games.
Names like Heil, Richards, Bilideau and Dusty with his Chinese aerialists, were all here in Fernie.
Nicolas Fontaine built his first worldcup aerials site here in Fernie, following a stellar career of jumping. He also build the last two olympic jump sites.
We are left with the memory of the rain, three days of intense downpoor, and are reminded every January!
