The pro’s are saying it was the fourth-warmest January on record since 1901. There was also the third-least snowfall over the nation since satellites began measuring coverage about 50 years ago.
The central plains and Northeast have been especially mild, and about the only exceptions to both warmth and a lack of snow have been in BC and Alaska — some parts of Northern BC and Alaska have seen record-setting cold and snow, as the jet stream has just refused to dip south.
