im wondering how long it would take to walk from mt procter rd to downtown fernie?

Mt Proctor Ave or Road? If it is the one I am thinking of its in Mountview.
I would say 20 minutes tops, it depends if it is snow covered. Snow would slow you down. Here’s a map to get you orientated. You could take Park Ave or the trail right after the bridge which leads you down past the boat launch, its probably longer but more scenic:

I saw FAR employees walk this last year in the wee hours of the morning, so its do-able, but I would give it a 0.5 out of 10 for fun factor. I you want convience get accomodation Downtown or or first few ave’s of the Annex.
