      Anyone know if there is some kind of rec, pickup, or beer hockey league in fernie. I’m moving down in a week and want to know if i should bring my equipment or not. And if so who needs a good defencemen, i know you are out there.

      I think there’s a beer league type game on Monday nights. You could check with the Community Centre, or Fernie Leisure Services , at 423-4466.

      There is a mens and womens league in fernie. I play in the mens league and know everyteam is looking for players at this time of the year. As well, there is a skate and shoot tues and thurs mornings which is just drop in and play. Contact leasure services at city of fernie for skate and shoot info.
