Heliski from Fernie

Hello, me and my friends would like to do heliskiing during the winter. Are there some companies who organize that from Fernie ? And someone has already tested ? thanks for your help

There is no helisking in Fernie. I believe it’s an environmental issue. You can take heli-tours to view the mountains and wildlife, but they’re not allowed to land. We do have some fabulous cat-skiing in the area though, which makes for a pretty good alternative.

There is lots of great Heli-skiing in the Golden, Revelstoke and Nelson areas.

Mica Heli and Chatter Creek are exceptional.

Chatter offers both cat and heli and is described as Island Lake on steroids.

RK offers a nice day of heli-skiing for beginners. Expect large groups of intermediate skiers (Panorama tourists), flat terrain and limited vertical.

Oh ok… We are all advanced skiers/boarders but it means we have to go very far to do heliski !! I checked with Chatter Creek but they propose mini 2 days (we want just one day), and Revelstoke is so far !!
Do you know "peakfreaks" at Nelson ?
