Broadband, phone line and cable

We are moving to Fernie from the UK in October of this year and many things that would be easy to work out in the UK will be alien to us so hopefully you guys can help!!!

How do we go about getting a phone line in the appartment, is broadband(high speed internet available in fernie) and who is best to get cable tv from. In addition approximate costs would be helpful.

I hate to say it but Telus is a local phone and ADSL internet supplier.

Shaw Cable also has high speed internet and digital and cable TV.

Other options for phone is cell phone carriers. Don’t have a cell but I remember a thread on here about it.
