Squaw Valley USA is now offering a season pass for dogs, cats and other pets. Pet owners can bring their critter to Squaw Valley’s Special Tickets office to have the pet’s picture taken and printed on his or her very own Squaw season pass.

The passes are $25 and the proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe and Squaw Valley Avalanche Dog Rescue. Also, all Squaw pet passholders receive 10 percent off dog and cat food at Tails by the Lake in the Village at Squaw.

Squaw Valley’s hiking trails are dog-friendly and in summer, leashed dogs and obedient pets (parrots, cats, ferrets, etc.) are welcome on the Cable Car. By riding the Cable Car to el. 8200′, hikers and their dogs can access the beautiful views from Squaw’s upper mountain peaks without a long ascent.
