The City of Fernie thanks everyone who came out to the open house Thursday night to learn about the Fire Hall Replacement project and share their feedback on the shortlisted sites. Your input matters. Comments from the open house and the online survey will be provided to Council to inform their decision on the final site selection.
Councillor Tracey Audia commented, “This is a generational decision for Fernie, get involved!”
After an extensive assessment of all City-owned land and properties submitted through the public expression of interest, two sites are being considered for the new Fire Hall: 902 2nd Ave and 1500 5th Ave (a portion of Prentice Park.)
If you missed the open house you can still review all the project boards and provide your input on the online survey until November 6. Feedback will be presented to Council next month to help inform their final site selection in December.
