The Fernie Ghostriders win four straight following a commanding 6-0 victory over the Quesnel River Rush on Saturday, October 3. The win marked Fernie’s third consecutive shutout as the team continues its strong start to the inaugural British Columbia Hockey Conference (BCHC) season.
The Ghostriders dominated the game, outshooting Quesnel 54-19, with relentless backchecking and another impressive performance between the pipes.
Kael Svenson Records Second Shutout

Although Fernie controlled much of the game, Svenson faced several difficult chances in the second period, including breakaways and a shot off his mask. He turned everything aside to preserve the shutout.
The Ghostriders’ defensive play has been a major factor in their winning streak, with three consecutive shutouts demonstrating the team’s commitment at both ends of the ice.

Jackson Roberts opened the scoring, with assists from Sawyer Samycia and Max Boyle. His goal would stand as the game-winner.
Max Boyle added his first goal of the season, assisted by Samycia and Roberts.
Nate Turton scored twice, with Buchanan and Roberts assisting on both goals. His second came on the power play.
Hunter Jaman rounded out the scoring with two goals. Halat assisted on both, while Chown added an assist on Jaman’s second.
Fernie converted one of nine power-play opportunities, while Quesnel went scoreless on three chances.
The game also featured several physical confrontations, including high sticks and a slew-foot incident, but the Ghostriders maintained control throughout.
