Delta values the tourism treasures of the Kootenay Rockies Region of British Columbia so will continue non-stop service to Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) starting December 19, 2009 from Salt Lake City (SLC).  The short, two hour flight will be available weekly on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday until March 28, 2010.

The Canadian Rockies International Airport is one of the few airports in British Columbia serviced directly from a major US airport hub. The Salt Lake City International Airport serves eleven million passengers annually and provides the Kootenay Rockies market access to 40+ US cities.  Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Kimberley Alpine Resort and 60 minutes from Fernie Alpine Resort, the Canadian Rockies International Airport provides winter adventurers quick access to world-class skiing and riding.

The Kootenay Rockies is British Columbia’s fastest growing tourism region, providing visitors a stunning array of vacation experiences. Four National Parks, seventy-seven provincial parks, hot spring resorts, and friendly communities complement the dozens of back-country lodges, pristine golf resorts, and the world’s highest concentration of heli, snowcat, and lift-serviced ski and snowboard facilities.
