The 47th annual Griz Days celebration has been announced by the Fernie Chamber of Commerce for the weekend of March 1 – 3, 2024.
This years Griz Days is its own theme! Dress in your best plaid, fur, fringe, and denim – think all things Canadian. Pick up your Griz pin at a local shop s to ensure you don’t wind up in Griz Jail.
Each year the Fernie Chamber partners with the Fernie Rotary Club to sell commemorative Griz Pins. You could be the lucky winner of a $1,000 cash prize! The draw will be announced on Wednesday, March 6 on social media for the lucky pin number. A portion of the proceeds from Griz pin sales is distributed to local community groups or charities by the Fernie Rotary Club. Pins are $4 each, and numbers are limited.
Everyone is in full swing planning your favorite Griz Days events like the parade, live entertainment, an all-new lumberjack show, fireworks, the Extreme Griz competition and much more to be announced! Check out the satellite events around town too, like the popular Raging Elk Dummy Downhill at Fernie Alpine Resort.
