Fernie Trails are alive with activity and keeping trail users healthy and happy! Renowned as a premier mountain biking destination, Fernie’s legendary trails are buzzing with excitement. In recent years, runners have also discovered the allure of these trails, while hikers eagerly anticipate the thawing of alpine paths still blanketed in snow.
Fernie’s terrain is a magnet for bike enthusiasts, drawing them back time and again. With heart-pounding downhill descents and expansive cross-country routes, there’s something for every rider here. Whether you’re hitting the freeride trails ain Morrissey or exploring the vast network of trails weaving through town and beyond, the adventure never ends.
I’m happy to report that Ridgemont, Montane, Castle Mtn, Mount Proctor, Mount Fernie and Morrissey trails are snow-free and riding dry!
As Spring blooms, the trails require ongoing maintenance, and the Fernie Trails Alliance (FTA) relies on the dedication of volunteers to keep them in top condition. Join in on weekly work parties to lend a hand and show your support for these beloved trails. This weekend the Fernie Trail Razr is back for an action-packed night of fundraising for the FTA with games, dinner, DJ and dancing.
While enjoying Fernie’s trails, it’s essential to show respect for the hard work of volunteers and the rights of private landowners. By doing so, we ensure that everyone can continue to experience the magic of Fernie’s outdoor paradise for years to come.
