The Fernie Railyard Dog Park fence installation begins in Spring 2020 using a stacked cedar split rail design with a total length of 1700m.
The Fernie Pets Society has so far purchased 300 meters of fencing and another 600 meters is currently on order.
They are seeking donations to purchase the final 800 meters of fencing to complete the project, including a separate fenced area for small and shy dogs.

The Fernie Pets Society is a registered charity community organization. Their main programs are:
– Building and managing Fernie’s Railyard Dog Park, a year-round off-leash facility
– Elk Valley Spay & Neuter Incentive Program (SNIP), providing low-cost spay and neutering for cats throughout the Elk Valley.
