The Fernie Ski & Board Film Fest is Fernie’s celebration for the upcoming winter season and will be live at the Fernie Community Centre on Saturday, November 12th!

This is Fernie’s unofficial launch to the snow season as skiers and boarders gather to celebrate the coming snow season and watch three of the season’s best ski and board films.

The Fest begins with Blank Collective’s latest production, Feel Real! This BC based athlete driven production company has been at the forefront of high action skier films for skiers since 2015 and they care about keeping skiing fun!

The next film will be Magic Hour produced by award winning Teton Gravity Research. Magic Hour is a culmination of powerful moments in some of the most beautiful, wild places on the planet. For 27 years, Teton Gravity Research has been searching for the right place with the right crew at the perfect time to experience life at its fullest.

The Fest finishes with Fleeting Time, a production from Ben Ferguson and Homestead Creative. Tag along as Red Bull athlete Ben Ferguson and an elite crew of professional snowboarders travel the globe to document two winters of chasing storms in search of the adventure of a lifetime.

Three feature films will be presented on a large format screen with a professional image and dolby sound. Fernie vendors will be once again be serving fresh tasty pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, Fernie beer and other beverages and yes, we have intermissions!

The event is famous for great swag and prizing with a few lucky attendee’s going home with catskiing, skis, boards, clothing and more! Once again everyone attending will receive a 2 for 1 lift ticket voucher to Fernie Alpine Resort!

The event is the season’s sole fundraiser for the Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP). Each winter CSP members provide over 400 days of volunteer patrol services in Fernie and Elkford. These volunteers are amazing, be sure to come out and support them!
