This years Ski & Board Film Fest entertained all with a great selection on the years best films! Skiers and boarders of all ages packed the Community Center to get their stoke for the coming snow season.
The event is an annual fundraiser for the Canadian Ski Patrol System. Tom Little, National Director of the CSPS, said, “I was pretty pumped to see the participation levels from everyone in our group, the sponsors,the suppliers, the donors and the public support we received. I want to thank everyone for their support.” Last winter 33 CSPS members provided 400 days of volunteer patrol services at the Fernie and Elkford ski hills.
This years sponsors included: Teck, Fernie Real Estate, Fernie Lodging Company, Park Place Lodge, The Guides Hut, Gear Hub, Edge of The World, Commit, Fernie Brewing, The Free Press, Whitefish Resort, Fernie Alpine Resort, Castle Mountain Resort, Island Lake Catskiing, and Fernie Wilderness Adventures.
This years prizes were unsurpassed! From cat skiing to ski vacations to first tracks and skis, boards, jackets, pants and two for one lift tickets—everybody went home a winner! Here are a few images from this years event:
