SUMMARY:Ponies & Planks Skijoring Fundraiser Returns for Its 3rd Annual Thr
 ill Ride - Fernie Demo Derby - 14 Feb 26 11:00
DESCRIPTION:The 3rd annual Ponies & Planks Skijoring Fundraiser gallops bac
k to Fernie for another unforgettable celebration of snow\, speed\, and co
mmunity spirit! This uniquely Kootenay event brings together two passions
—rad snow sports and horse power—in a one-of-a-kind race that defines
winter fun in the mountains.\n\nNew for 2026\, the event will feature an u
pdated course\, wild intermission entertainment\, and even more opportunit
ies for spectators to get involved. Teams of two—one horseback rider and
one skier or snowboarder—will race the clock through a thrilling course
of jumps\, gates\, berms\, and flying obstacles to claim the title of Fas
test Team in Fernie.\n\nHosted by the Freedom Equine Association\, the fun
draiser supports programs that remove financial barriers to accessing ther
apeutic horseback riding\, equine-assisted learning\, and wellness session
 s. Every dollar raised helps individuals and groups experience the healing
