Fernie Writers Conference

Description:

A week of writing workshops, panel discussions and performances of the written word in the inspirational Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The annual conference will be a mix of week-long and three-day intensive workshops held in the mornings, panel discussions in the afternoons with readings and performances in the evenings. Editors and literary agents will be present to mix with the writers over the week in addition to the workshop leaders who will include notable writers such as Jayme Moye, Sid Marty and John Keeble plus many more.

REGISTRATION is now open with a fully refundable no-risk deposit to hold a workshop spot.

Early registration, with or without a deposit, is encouraged to assure your spot.
Cancellations after July 18th will incur a $35 admin fee.
Scholarships are available, application deadline July 10th. Earlybird tuition pricing available until July 17th.
Current members of the Federation of BC Writers and Authors of the Flathead receive 10% off their tuition.

COVID-19: The conference is designed with small classes and groups in mind, and the natural setting invites plenty of physical distancing. Intensive workshop sessions are limited to eight to ten students. Where possible, dinners will be held outside. All BC CDC Health Guidelines and Protocols will be adhered to. Final decision to delay to 2021 will be made no later than July 17th, 2020.
