DESCRIPTION:The Elk Valley ULTRA\, the high-vert\, challenging 50k returns\

 Those going the full distance will take on the iconic Leg 1 up and over Mt
 . Fernie\, onto Rocky Road\, down to Island Lake Lodge\, before cruising t
 hrough the Old Growth Forest. Leg 2 follows the old Rail Trail\, heading u
 p Gorby and through loamy Provincial Park trails. Leg 3 includes yet anoth
 er iconic Fernie climb bringing you across the front of Mt. Fernie for dra
 matic views of town before you head down a steep descent to the Finish Lin
 e.\n\nThe Headwall Hustle can be included as an add on to your action pack
 ed race weekend. The route is a tour of the ski hill\, climbing all the wa
 y up through Cedar Bowl to the base of the dramatic Headwall\, before trav
 ersing all the way across into Timber Bowl for a roaring descent to the Fi
