It snows in Fernie…and it doesn’t stop!

Fernie Dep Pow

There was a lot of hype in the pre-season about certain resorts getting tons of snow. And they did. But now it is snowing in Fernie and it has been every day this month! The other resorts haven’t been getting as much snow. Fernie has been at the top of the overnight snowfall charts for much of December.

This non-stop snow has launched our base over and above the Albertan and other Canadian Rockies resorts. We now have the deepest base in the Canadian Rockies and are in the top three for the BC Interior.

The forecast continues to call for snow every day this week. And there is a possibility that we might even see the sun for the Christmas weekend. Hopefully the forecast is wrong and it just keeps on snowing!

To top it all off their is NOBODY here. Less than 500 skiers have been skiing untracked lines all day everyday. So don’t tell your friends 😉

Here’s to a really snowy Christmas and a fluffy holiday!
