The Ghostriders play the Kimberley Dynamiters in the first round of the KIJHL Playoffs. Game # 1 of their best of seven series goes Tuesday night @ 7:30. Because if ice constraints game two is in Kimberley and game three will be here in Fernie this Saturday night.

The Ghostriders won seven of the eight games they played against the Nitros this season. The only game they lost was in Kimberley last Saturday night, the score was 5-4 in OT. Former Ghostrider Darrell Bolden was the first star in that game. The Riders were up 4-1 going into the third but choked and the Nitros scored 4 in a row. Bolden was in on 3 of the goals and scored 2 including the GW in OT. In that game Olli Dickson purposely ran into Fernie Goalie Fraser Abdallah knocking him out of the game and was given 5 and a game, Dickson was the most penalized player in the league with 365PIM .

Kimberley finished the season in fourth place with an 18-28-2-2 record good for 40 points. They scored 185 goals and allowed 234 and were 4-6 in their last ten games. Darrell Bolden is their top scorer with 63 points.

It was a great regular season for Rider fans to watch, the Ghostriders finished  up with a 42-5-0-3 record had 87 pts, were the top scoring team in the league with 265 goals scored and were second best in goals against with118 goals allowed. The Riders only lost 2 home games all season and won 87% of their games. Osoyoos finished 1st overall with 90 pts scored 257 and allowed just 110. Osoyoos also had 42 wins but had more ties and O/T losses than the Riders. The always tough Castlegar Rebels 42-8-1 also had 42 wins. Fernie ended the season 9-0-1 in their last ten games.

The Riders home games in round one are February 15, 19, 21 (if needed) and 23 (if needed).

Last weekend the Riders were shorthanded because of suspensions, sickness and injuries. Kade Pilton, Ty Morton, Connor Morgan, Evan Burgess Josh McSkimming and Jordie Cool all missed games but could be ready for game one but Zach Baba is suspended until Feb. 20.
