Great weather, contestants and volunteers came together last weekend for the Annual Fernie Snow Drags. The date was moved up a couple of weeks to ensure snow – and the weather cooperated. Many thanks to the racers and all the volunteers (and there were lots of volunteers) that help make the event a success.

Results: Winner of the Mountain Open Class & the $2,000 Trinidad Drilling prize money
was local racer Darcy Hutchinson – congratulations Darcy. Matt Honkanen of Salmon Arm took first place in the 700 & 1000 stock and 700 Improved Classes. Another local racer Monty Sosnowski, Ghostrider Motorsports, won the 800 & 900 Stock. Dale Nelson of Pincher Creek claimed the 800, 900 and 1000 improved titles; Darren Milner of Fort St John won the 800 & 900 Mountain Classes. The Sparwood racers took all 3 places in the 1000 Mountain Class with Joe Matt coming out on top. Kyle Micku from Salmon Arm was the Turbo winner.
