The Fernie’s Got Talent Family Event on Saturday March 27 will feature free, family fun all day long at Fernie Alpine Resort.  The activities begin with helmet decorating in the plaza from 10am-12pm followed by a variety of children’s activities taking place until 3pm including face painting, griz snowball toss, and so much more!

The day of family fun leads up to the excitement of the 1st annual Fernie’s Got Talent event taking place in the plaza from 3:30-4:30pm.  This exciting event is open to ages 12 and under and promises to be an extremely adorable event to spectate. Children can have some fun hearing their singing talents on the karaoke machine or can sing along to their own music by providing their ipod/mp3 player.  Singing, dancing, juggling or more…we want it all!  Children can sign up individually or as a group (note: there is a 5min. time limit per act). Sign up is available at Guest Services.  If a talent show isn’t your thing, however, not to worry because the whole family can partake in a Guided Geocaching experience from 1:30-3:30pm for the low cost of $25/family.

Finally, the activity filled day on Saturday ends with Movie Mania in the Slopeside Coffee & Deli from 6pm-8pm.  Families can sit back and enjoy a great family flick with popcorn, free of charge!  Or, for a different wind-down to the day, try out a Cowboy Camp sleigh ride featuring tales of Fernie legends told around a campfire, complete with hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows.  Available from from 7-8pm for $20+GST/person.

Along with great skiing and snowboarding for all ages and ability levels, as well a full variety of on-mountain and ski-in/ski-out accommodation, Fernie Alpine Resort is the best place to enjoy family fun!
