Dual moguls was held on the lower part of the Bear. Conditions were good with the snow bordering on the edge of spring like.

There are days in Fernie when the powder is so deep you need a snorkel to breath while skiing. Today was not one of those days.

There’s a fantastic phenomenon that occurs in Fernie regularly, where the town is covered in cloud, but a short trip up a ski hill lift thrusts you into blue skies.

I am just really happy right now. What a great day it was today. A bit of sun, some fresh powder and some fun people to ski with.

The snow that started in the afternoon yesterday continued until late last night, depositing about 15cm of packed powder from mid-mountain up.
