Big smiles were abound as skiers and snowboarders hiked at Fernie Alpine Resort to ride the latest stash of freshies. The powder skiing was the best of the season!
The 35cm storm covered an already great base in the alpine and produced good skiing to the bottom. I had forgotten how convenient skiing to ones vehicle can be.
FAR is planning to run the Elk, Timber and White Pass chairs on Friday. If there ever was a reason to work on opening day - don't tell me!
In and around Fernie other snow worshipers were busy shoe-showing and making snow-people. Here are two fine snow-people created by Kelly and Schelia and enjoyed by all.
