It's only just beginning, folks.
10cm of snow has fallen in the past couple of days, blanketing the bowls of the Lizard Range and creating a buzz in the air - although somewhat of a surprise, the welcome white stuff has inspired talk of past - and future - epic snow years.

With Fernie Alpine Resort's network of runs clearly outlined with this latest dump, the December 10 opening day seems all that much closer.
To keep track of the latest snow conditions in Fernie and check out live mountain conditions, log on to the Fernie.com webcams.
With Fernie's newly revitali zed downtown, multitude of new restaurants and bars, and 2004's best North American Resort*, there's never been a better time to plan your visit to Fernie.
