It is a tough time of the year. One side of your brain says that you should go skiing because in a few weeks there won't be any skiing left, but the other side is screaming go do something else. Yup, spring is definitely in the air this beautiful Sunday in March. I actually made it to the ski hill and rode the magic carpet with a friend's kids. That is one radical lift system.

Now, despite the fact that the sun was beaming down and the snow looked all soft and mooshy, I decided to head out to the south country and do some road riding with some friends. I was glad I did as it was absolutely gorgeous out there and is generally about 5 degrees warmer. Lots of other people seemed to have the same idea as there was quite the number of cars parked at the gate into Kikomun Creek campground.

Saturday was a bit different than Sunday. Once again we got snow, about 10cm up top and blow in some places like Fish Bowl up to 15cm. So it was Winter like up top with soft snow and spring on the lower mountain.

So there you have it. If you are like me, you are probably eyeing that bike in the basement or the kayak hanging in your garage. Dust them off and don't feel the least bit guilty about leaving the skis behind.

If you haven't had enough of the white stuff, it is holding up quite well with the cooler temps that were around last week so get out there and rip up the slush.
