As the first day of Spring has recently passed us by, I think it is a good time for a comparative analysis between this year and last. Take a look at the first picture taken on the first day of Spring last year, and then review it with the second picture taken this year. The difference is fairly obvious don’t you agree? While I have had a few good days this year, the snow quantity doesn’t even compare to what came down last year.

This weekend was yet another wet one with serious downpour action in town for the most of the day on Saturday. I was heading out to Home Hardware to get some nails for a home reno project and I had to feel for the folks driving into town with ski gear on their roof racks. You leave the sunny, windy prairies only to be met with April showers in March. Did I say showers? Oops. Monsoon is what I meant to say.

Sunday dawned a bit cooler and in typical Spring fashion produced a series of gropple like flurries on and off for the course of the day. Spring has arrived so lets home the sun comes out and at least makes the last few weeks of skiing warm and slushy.
