It's beginning to look a lot like Fernie
ev'rywhere you ski;
Take a look at the 10 cm, falling once again
in heaps of powder deeper than my knees.
It's beginning to look a lot like Fernie,
skis in ev'ry store,
but the prettiest sight to see is the lifty waving me
on to the chair for more.
Yes, it’s finally looking like Fernie on the hills these days. It’s been snowing off and on again for several days and the conditions are fantastic. I had some great runs down Cedar Center, Sunnyside and Stag’s Leap today with Dan, Nuke and Rob and sons. The snow consistency is very good right now. It’s not that eider down stuff we all love, but it’s not mashed potatoes either; just something nicely in between.
Just for fun, I dropped into the office and complained that the hill was covered in deep snow and there were no line-ups and consequently I was getting tired really fast. Fortunately they took my complaint for what it was – a very thinly veiled compliment.
Quote of the day:
“Could you please you write that complaint on a comment card. Thanks.”
