School breaks have lengthened the line-ups somewhat this week, but the sun and snow today were more than enough to turn the deepest frown upside down.
I’ve been told of an amnesiac effect that happens after delivering a baby. The pain of labour not forgotten, but diminished alongside the joy of holding a child. I got a glimmer of understanding that today, as I went from the pain of long line-ups to the ecstasy of knee deep powder.
I had some great fun on Sunnyside before running into Simon and heading for the new side. We had a great run down Siberia Ridge, where the snow was steep and deep. I can’t even remember what the line-up at Timber looked like now…
Quote of the day:
“I fall down as much as possible to delay having to go back to the lift line.”
