A quest for untracked powder went unsatisfied today, but that didn’t prevent Hugh, Marie and I from trying. It’s not that we couldn’t find snow. The snow at the top of White Pass is in great shape. If you’re a mogul skier, these are the salad days. The mountain is replete with blue skies, packed powder, warm temperatures and well shaped bumps.
Marie was grinning ear to ear after what she called one of the best ski lessons she’s ever had. Marie is already a level two instructor, so I can only assume that the praise I’ve heard heaped on the ski instructors on the hill is well deserved. And after watching her smoothly flowing through the bumps on Shakey’s Acres the value in lesson taking was all too obvious.
Quote of the day:
“good days for keeping in top form… for when the powder comes.”
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
