Good coverage and cool temperatures have kept the skiing quality good. There are still more alders showing than usual at this time of year, but almost any effort will yield up a good run. Over the last couple of days I’ve been skiing Snake Ridge and Currie Bowl and while both are in decent shape, upper Currie is very good right now.
As a local I’m always a little disappointed when I don’t have 15+cm of fresh powder to ski every morning. But when people I ride the lift with start describing other places as bulletproof, armour-plated and boulder strewn, I’m reminded that even mediocre conditions here are fantastic.
Construction on the sites for the World Cup next weekend is well underway and I was lucky enough to grab a few shots of local mogul wizards Sean and Todd, working in the course for the athletes.
Quote of the day:
“I think we’ll be coming back.”
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
