The snow that started in the afternoon yesterday continued until late last night, depositing about 15cm of packed powder from mid-mountain up. The lower groomers were very hard, but the upper ones were in great shape.
Lori and I did a couple of warm-up runs down Bear. Behind us the ridges were decked out in gossamer clouds lit up by a brilliant sun we haven’t seen in a few days. There’s something about ripping down under a blue bird sky that gets everyone smiling.
Sunnyside lived up to its name today. And Cedar bowl still has a bunch of snow in it. The wind has firmed up the powder down the center, but there’re still good turns to be had in the trees.
