The rest of the lifts opened today, sending skiers into a frenzy. Skiers, anticipating turns on the nearly untouched old side, were lined up for the Elk chair a hundred deep half an hour before opening. And they weren’t disappointed.
While the high traverses weren’t open, everything else was. We headed immediately down Cedar ridge and enjoyed some fantastic knee-deep powder all the way to the gulley. Hanging out and skiing the Boom chair and North Ridge was the best part of the morning.
There are a few places near the very bottom of the hill that are a bit more exposed due to last night’s warmer temperatures, but the rest of the hill is in good condition.
Quote of the day:
“My quads are still vibrating from that.”
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
