Well, today was busier. More people on the hill and many more in the line-up at Whitepass. It was cold up top and just a whisper of snow was falling. There’s still snow to be had in spots, but most of the runs are heavily glazed and crunchy right now. The groomers are probably the place to be unless you feel like trekking.
Dave Nicholls and I braved the roller-coaster traverse above Shakey’s Acres and found some very skiable stuff just past Surprise. Take heed however; if you’re heading into the trees, there are plenty of little hazards that aren’t usually there.
The rumour is that it’s going to dump on Christmas day.
