All smiles – Opening Day at Fernie Alpine Resort

Smiles were abundant this morning at Fernie Alpine resort as the lifts officially opened.

A foot of fresh snow sitting on a solid base made for excellent powder conditions on the top half of the mountain.

I skied untracked lines in Curry Chutes, Timber and Siberia Bowl before heading back to the office.

Smiles have returned in abundance to this little ski town.
