Good snow films are produced every year however great productions are rare. Last years “All I Can” set a high standard and this years films did not disappoint.

The Fernie Ski and Board Fest was a great evening of the best films and a rocking party. When the evening was over Greg Stump took “Best Film” with his “Legend Of Aahhh’s”. Through a semi-autobiographical approach, Greg explores the history of the ski film and how these films influenced big mountain skiing… and pop culture with the birth of the extreme sports movement following the release of “Blizzard Of Aahhh’s” in 1988 and Glen Plake and Scot Schmidt’s pivotal appearance on NBC’s Today Show where the word and concept of “extreme” exploded into the consciousness of mainstream America.

And then the people voted TGR’s “Further” featuring Jeremy Jones as the the “Peoples Choice”. Further is a Snowboard Adventure Film by award winning producers Teton Gravity Research. Further, is the second installment in the Jeremy Jones snowboard movie trilogy, Deeper, Further, Higher. Further explores some of the world’s most remote mountain terrain while continuing Jones’ mission to camp deep in the backcountry and on the summits of unridden lines to access nearly vertical spines and wide-open powder fields. Jeremy and his crew as they push their minds and bodies Further.
