About the Wild Nature Tours Guides:

Lee-Anne Walker came as an interpretive naturalist for the summer in 1983 and never left. Teaching natural history for the local college mountain adventure program, she has worked as an eco tour guide guiding hikes, snowshoe tours, canoe trips and step-on-bus tours. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of Fernie’s natural and human history will inspire a unique sense of place.

Chiara Cipriano was a snowshoe guide for Wild Nature Tours this past winter where she first became passionate about Fernie’s native species and legends. She has a background in Biology and has spent 5 seasons as an environmental educator and 6 summers in a tent, national parks and forests across the United States, designing and maintaining recreational trails for hikers. She is a Wilderness First Responder and enjoys spending her free time exploring new trails and tracking animals.
