Hey kids’, Avalanche Canada is bringing its annual pre-season roadshow to Fernie Alpine Resort.

What is a Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 course?
An AST 1 course is where you’ll learn the fundamentals of travelling in avalanche terrain. An AST 1 course comprises a minimum of seven hours of classroom instruction with one full day in the field, and is suitable for people with basic training and little experience. Who: Any youth, 16+ years of age, in the greater Fernie area
When: December 19-20, 2015
Where: Fernie Alpine Resort (non skiers and boarders are welcome to attend).
