All bear habitats have been shrunk do to roads and oil and gas, that to risk much more for the sake of a sweet ski resort would be ridiculous. The bears were to be monitored and if problems that arise are dealt with aptly. Then this type of resort would benefit Canada and north america greatly. The bear, both black and griz, territories have shrunk too much to sacrifice for just a good ski hill. There are already a lot of great places with the recent renovations in the past years that we can access by lift without compromising bear habitat.
