With the ski hill opening, fresh snow on the ground, and more of the white stuff in the forecast–it’s the perfect time for a couple of Fernie Brewing’s Winter treats. Fernie Brewing has launched Rockpile Red IPA and Black Mammoth Winter Ale to celebrate the snow season.

FErnie brewings winter treats

Rockpile Red IPA is Fernie Brewing’s second in their IPA Bucket List and combines the traditional Belgian IPA style, with some of the newest hop varietals from Australia and New Zealand. Snowblind Belgian IPA delivers another truly original brew experience. IBU – 78 and 7.9% alc./vol.

To mark their 10th Anniversary in January 2013, Fernie Brewing celebrated with a new limited release darkly delicious winter brew. And after a warm welcome, its returned ever since as their Limited Release Winter Ale.

Fernie Brewing’s most decadent brew yet–Black Mammoth Winter Ale is a rich, strong winter black ale. A healthy addition of chocolate malt, plus infusions of dark organic cocoa and Seville orange peel provide unique flavour. Extra aging on oak adds smoothness and complexity.

Rockpile Red IPA Ingredients:
Malt: 2 Row Pale, Superior Pilsner, Munich, Melanoid, Caramel Vienna, Carastan 30-37, Oat Flakes, Rice Hull
Hops: Warrior, Galaxy, Pacific Jade. Dry hopped with Galaxy & Pacific Jade.

Black Mammoth Winter Ale Ingredients:
Water, malted barley, hops, yeast, cocoa, Seville orange peel
