1. Fernie Flyer Cross Series
The Fernie Flyers Society presents the Cross Cycling Series, a great program for kids and families alike. Every Sunday from September 7th to October 12th, a 30-minute free event will take place on a 1km lap – riders can complete as many laps as they wish. Meet at the Fernie Aquatic Center at 10:30 for a morning of family fun!

2. Ghostrider Hockey Begins
Hockey starts up this weekend in Fernie with home exhibition games on Friday and Sunday. Come cheer on our local stars at the Fernie arena and catch a glimpse of the season to come. Refreshments and merchandise will be available for purchase.

3. Koocanusa Lake
With lake days becoming limited moving into fall, enjoy one of the surrounding areas’ most beautiful locations. The crowns are down making the lake still enjoyable for water sports, boating etc. Koocanusa is a short distance drive outside Fernie.

4. The Pub Disc Golf Tournament
Sign up for the tournament at The Pub prior to Sunday for an afternoon of outdoor fun. The tournament is a way to show patrons appreciation with free entry, jug and BBQ for participants. Don’t miss the awards and special happy hour prices at The Pub post event.

5. Tears & Gears
In “Enduro” style, this is Fernie’s Annual Mountain Duathalon. This year includes new courses, kid’s race options, post race BBQ and beer at the finish line. Register before 10pm Thursday.
