With successive storms over the past few weeks and the magical powers of the legendary Griz, snow conditions at Fernie Alpine Resort lend to the earliest resort opening in British Columbia’s Kootenay Region of the Canadian Rockies, BC’s Powder Highway, and one of the earliest in the ski resort’s history. The announcement to open for a preview weekend, one week prior to the official resort opening on Dec 5, comes with great excitement and anticipation to commence the ski and snowboard season at Fernie Alpine Resort!
